TERMS AND CONDITIONS (TERMS OF SERVICE)

Last Updated: September 2026

Welcome to Elitman (accessible via elitman.com, “Elitman Labs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By browsing our documentation, accessing the 3D Vault, or ordering from our e-shop, you explicitly agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS & BUSINESS MODEL

  • Laboratory & Maker Ecosystem: Elitman operates an educational workshop platform providing theoretical concepts, open-source documentation, assembly guides, 3D printing STL archives, and raw materials for developers.
  • Classification of Offerings: Items available in our store consist exclusively of Development Boards, passive Interface Boards, component bundles, discrete developer components, and limited handcrafted physical goods (Stuff Maker).
  • Builder Responsibility: We do NOT supply finished consumer electronic appliances. The purchaser acts strictly as an independent builder/developer constructing their own custom prototype for research, development, and educational purposes.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & OPEN-SOURCE DOCUMENTATION

  • Schematics & Documentation: Electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation published under Elitman Labs are provided openly for educational review and personal prototyping.
  • Firmware: All source code and firmware binaries provided through our web flasher or archives are open-source and supplied strictly on an “As-Is” basis.
  • Digital 3D Models: Free STL files distributed via the 3D Vault are licensed for personal, non-commercial maker use. Commercial or paid digital 3D models are transacted exclusively via third-party platforms (Cults3D), which operate as independent Merchants of Record.

3. ORDERS, PRICING & PAYMENT

  • Currency & Checkout: All prices are stated in Euros (€). Payment must be completed via our integrated secure checkout providers before dispatch.
  • Component Bundles: Component bundles contain unassembled, loose discrete components matched to specific open-source concepts. We reserve the right to supply functionally equivalent replacement components (e.g., alternative brand resistors or capacitors of identical specification) based on component supply availability.

4. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

  • Physical Goods: Component bundles, Development Boards, and handcrafted goods are shipped from Slovakia via tracked postal or courier services.
  • Customs & Import Duties: For orders delivered outside the European Union, the recipient is solely responsible for any applicable local customs declarations, import taxes, or duties.

5. CANCELLATION, RETURNS & REFUNDS (LIMITATIONS FOR DEVELOPER HARDWARE)

Under European consumer protection legislation, purchasers within the EU possess a standard 14-day statutory right of withdrawal. However, given the technical nature of our developer materials, specific statutory exemptions apply:

  1. Soldered / Modified Hardware: The right of withdrawal ceases immediately once loose developer components, Interface Boards, or Development Boards have been soldered, energized, mechanically modified, or integrated into a prototype assembly. We cannot accept returns of unpackaged electronic components susceptible to electrostatic discharge (ESD) or thermal stress from DIY soldering.
  2. Handcrafted Custom Gear: Custom-made, individualized physical goods crafted to order under the Stuff Maker line are exempt from statutory withdrawal once production has commenced.
  3. Unopened Component Bundles: Unopened, completely sealed component packages may be returned within 14 days of delivery at the buyer’s shipping expense, provided they remain in original, untouched condition.

6. AS-IS PROVISION & JURISDICTION

All hardware materials and documentation are governed unconditionally by the provisions set forth in our official Educational Hardware & Prototyping Disclaimer. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Slovak Republic (European Union).
