CANCELLATION & RETURN POLICY

At Elitman (elitman.com, “we”, “us”, or “our”), we supply developer components, Interface Boards, Development Boards, and handcrafted gear. This policy outlines your statutory rights and limitations regarding order cancellations, returns, and component replacements.

1. 14-DAY STATUTORY WITHDRAWAL RIGHT (EU CONSUMERS)

Under European Union consumer protection regulations, customers residing in the EU have the right to withdraw from a purchase agreement within 14 calendar days from the date physical delivery was received, subject to the conditions and exemptions below.

2. EXEMPTIONS AND CONDITIONS FOR DEVELOPER RAW MATERIAL

Due to the technical and bespoke nature of our offerings, statutory return rights are strictly governed by the following criteria:

Unopened Component Bundles & Boards: You may return complete, unopened, and unpowered component bundles, Development Boards, or Interface Boards within 14 days of receipt. The items must remain inside their original, sealed anti-static (ESD) packaging with all factory labels intact.
Soldered, Modified, or Energized Hardware (STRICT VOID): The right of withdrawal and return ceases immediately once any developer component, Interface Board, or Development Board has been soldered, trimmed, energized, assembled, or integrated into your custom prototype. We cannot accept returns of loose electronic items that have been subjected to heat, DIY soldering, voltage, or electrostatic handling.
Handcrafted Bespoke Items (Stuff Maker): Custom-made, individualized physical items crafted to order under the Stuff Maker line are exempt from standard statutory withdrawal once manufacturing has begun.
Digital 3D Models: Digital 3D printing files transacted via Cults3D are governed exclusively by the terms and policies of Cults3D.

3. RETURN PROCESS

If your order qualifies for return under Section 2:

Contact Support: Send an email to info@elitman.com within 14 days of delivery containing your Order ID and photographic proof confirming that the anti-static packaging and seal remain completely unopened and untampered.
Return Authorization: Once verified, our lab will issue return shipping instructions to our facility in the Slovak Republic (EU).
Return Shipping Costs: The customer is strictly responsible for all return shipping fees, tracked postal arrangements, and any associated customs charges.
Refund Processing: Upon physical receipt and inspection of the sealed materials at our workshop, a refund will be issued to your original payment method within 14 business days. Initial shipping fees are non-refundable.

4. DAMAGED OR INCORRECT SHIPMENTS (DOA)

All developer materials are subject to visual quality inspection prior to packing.

If a component bundle arrives physically damaged in transit or contains missing hardware, you must notify us at info@elitman.com within 48 hours of delivery with unboxing photographs.
In the rare event of a factory-defective component identified prior to soldering, we will dispatch a replacement component or issue a partial store credit. Once soldering has occurred, damage is legally presumed to result from DIY assembly thermal stress.
